Year 3 NHS Visit
Yesterday, people from Addenbrookes A&E visited us in Year 3. This included a student nurse, a pediatric sister, an air ambulance doctor and a healthcare assistant. They showed us some helpful tips which we can use to help people stay alive. They taught us how to properly apply a bandage, high arm slings, CPR, how to put on a cast (which we applied to Miss Allin and Mrs Muncey), how to deal with burns, how to apply steri-strips and glue in the way that you would if somebody had a deep cut and let us help with a scenario where somebody had fallen over and hurt themselves. We really enjoyed their visit and it has made some of us think about a job in medicine!
