Statement of our Vision and Values

We want to share the school's vision and values with you, please read the information below:

The school’s Vision and Values

We nurture our pupils to be the best they can be in every way, in an inclusive and supportive environment, rooted in Christian teachings

‘Let your light shine… as you grow', (inspired by Matthew 5: 15-16)

Our six core Christian values of perseverance, truthfulness, friendship, respect, trust and compassion guide us all to live our vision in our school.

Perseverance - Noah’s Ark – (Genesis 6-9)

A long time ago, God saw that people were not being kind. He decided to send a big flood to clean the world. God told Noah to build a big boat called an ark. Noah was excited, but it took a very long time to build the ark. People made fun of him, but Noah kept working and trusting God. When the rain finally came, Noah and his family were safe inside the big boat. Because Noah kept trusting and working hard, he showed everyone that perseverance is important.

Truthfulness- Daniel and the Lions – (Daniel 6)

Daniel loved God and always told the truth. One day, some people made a rule that no one could pray to God. But Daniel loved to pray, so he did it quietly every day. The people saw him and told the king. The king was sad but had to follow the rules. Daniel was put into a lion’s den, but he trusted that God would help him. That night, God sent an angel to keep the lions from hurting Daniel. Daniel was safe because he was honest and trusted God.(Daniel 6)

Friendship - David and Jonathan

(1 Samuel 18-20)

David and Jonathan were very good friends. They loved each other and cared a lot. Jonathan helped David and protected him from people who didn’t like David. They shared their toys, laughed, and stayed friends no matter what. Their friendship teaches us to be kind, loyal, and caring to our friends.(1 Samuel 18-20)

Respect: Jesus and the Woman at the Well

(John 4:1-26)

One day, Jesus met a woman at a well. She was from a different town, and some people didn’t like her. But Jesus treated her kindly, listened to her and talked to her with respect. He showed us that everyone is special and deserves kindness, no matter where they come from or who they are.(John 4:1-26)

Trust: Moses and the Red Sea — Trust in God (Exodus 14)

A long time ago, God's people were trapped. The sea was in front of them, and the soldiers were chasing behind. The people were very scared.

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Trust in God. He will help us.”

Moses lifted his stick, and God made a big wind blow. The water in the sea split apart, making a path for the people to walk through. They walked on dry land, trusting that God would keep them safe.

When they got to the other side, Moses stretched out his hand again, and the water came back. The soldiers couldn’t catch the people because they trusted God.

The people learned that trusting God means believing He will help you, even when it looks impossible.

Compassion: The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)

One day, a man was hurt on the road. A priest saw him but didn’t help. Then, a man from a different town saw him too but didn’t stop. Finally, a kind man called a Samaritan saw the hurt man. The Samaritan bandaged his wounds, took him to a safe place, and paid for his care. The Samaritan showed compassion — caring and helping someone in need. We can be like the Good Samaritan by helping others and being kind.
