Last Friday four St Mary’s pupils joined me on a visit to RA Butler Primary School. It was for the annual Year 5 Quiz, which takes place in June every year. Our school was       competing against a large number of local primary schools including St Thomas More, Katherine Semar, RA Butler, Great Chesterford, Bentfield Primary, St Mary’s Stansted and Debden Primary. It was a fun and interacive quiz, with rounds which included:    identifying the logos, identifying the famous person, riddles, problem solving and a Maths challenge (very similar to Countdown). Everyone had a great time and our four pupils performing brilliantly, just finishing out of the top three. I was very proud of how well they worked as a team, showing maturity and fantastic behaviour. Next year, St Mary’s will be hosting the Year 5 Quiz and I am already planning the topics of the rounds and the questions I will be asking the pupils who will be taking part!
