Governor Assembly
On Tuesday, one of our lovely governors, Carey Dickinson, came into school to deliver an assembly to the whole school about her pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, which is located in South America, which she took part in before Christmas. Carey talked to the children about why she had wanted to do the pilgrimage, who she went with and she also shared some of the equipment that she had used whilst on her (very long) trek. The children even got to try on some of her equipment! At the end, some of the children asked her some excellent questions about her trip! Huge thanks to Carey for taking the time to come in and share her experiences and photos with the children and for drawing attention to the importance of courage, perseverance and resilience—values we hold dear here at St Mary’s.
